Library members can download eAudiobooks and eBooks for free with OneClickdigital 24/7.  All you need to do is register the first time you use the service.   • North East Writers -  Find out more information on local north east author and poets.    
  • Books into Film -    Did you know that some of your favourite films were books first?  As well as having the book,some titles are also available on DVD from your local library. 
  • Books to TV - Did you know that some of your favourite TV show were books first or that there are books that accompany them?
  • eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines - Download new eBooks and magazines to read or eAudio to listen to 24/7 with our RBdigital eBook and eAudio website and RBdigital eMagazines website.
  • Reading Websites – Take a look at some of our favourite reading websites. 
  • The online library catalogue contains information on all the books we have available. You can reserve items from other Northumberland Libraries for free and get them sent to your local library.  Visit the library catalogue.
  • Library Blog - Keep up to date with book awards, national campaigns such as World Book Night and the latest book news by reading our blog.

Reading Groups

Northumberland has over forty reading groups or book clubs. The groups are friendly, informal places to discuss books and make friends.  We have collections of multiple copies of individual titles that anyone interested in running a book club, (based in a library or somewhere in the community) can borrow copies free of charge to support the running of the group.   We also have a more limited selection of Large Print titles and audiobooks.  Find out more information on reading groups.
