There is lots going on this Christmas in our Libraries.

Events

Local school children are being welcomed into libraries to entertain library visitors.  On Wednesday 13 December at 10am, children from Bothal Primary School will be singing Christmas carols in Ashington Library and on Tuesday 19 December at 10.30am, children from Malvin’s Close Primary Academy will be carolling in Blyth Library.

Libraries are also running lots of great events to keep children entertained during the Christmas holidays.

Both Berwick and Blyth libraries are running regular drop in events leading up to the Christmas holidays. Blyth Library is offering Quick Christmas Crafts every Saturday from 10am - 11.30am and Berwick Library is offering Do it Yourself Crafts from 10am - 3pm. Sessions start on Saturday 25th November and run up till Saturday 16 December. 

Wylam Library is holding a Christmas Story & Rhymetime on 5 December at 2.30pm.  

Ashington Library is having a Christmas Fair on Thursday 7 November, 10am - 6pm.

Prudhoe Library is holding three Story and Rhymetimes for little ones.  They will run on a Friday at 10:30am - 11am from 8 December up to 22 December.  They will also be running a Christmas Crafts session on Thursday 21 December at 3pm.

Ponteland Library are holding a Christmas Craft session on 18 December at 10:30am - 11.30am  Children can make reindeer and angels.  Places can be booked online at Eventbrite.

From Christmas reads to cooking and craft books your library is sure to have something for you.  Visit your library or search the library catalogue to find out what else is available. Remember if your library does not have the book you want, you can reserve it for free from another Northumberland Library.

Children can also take part in our Elf on a Library Shelf Reading Challenge.
