elfonshelfThis Christmas take part in our Elf Reading Challenge.  It will be running in all our libraries throughout December - from Friday 1st till Saturday 30.  The idea of the challenge is to encourage children to visit the library and keep them reading during the busy Christmas period.

Every branch has their own 'Library Elf'.  Elf loves to read and wants children to recommend books to him.  Each time children visit the library and borrow a book or introduce a new member, they will receive a small 'book' - on one side they write the name of a favourite book and on the other they write their name and library membership number.

Children can then post the 'book' in to the Christmas post box situated somewhere in the library.  The more 'books' children post, the more chances there are to win.  Each branch will carryout a prize draw at the start of January.
